Terms of service as of June 24th, 2006
As a user on this server you agree to the following rules, rights and restrictions:
1. You will not, in any shape or form, attempt to cause damage to the server and it's current or prospective users. If
you are found violating this policy, then FrostMUD.Com will prosecute you to the full extent of the law and seek
restitution
for any and all damages you cause.
2. You will not attempt to enter, view or manipulate any files outside of your home directory. This includes, but is not
limited to, other users directories and files, system directories and files, and web directories and files. This will
result in an immediate deletion of your account and the data held within. Full logging is enabled, so the staff will be
immediately notifed if you wander outside of your designated area.
3. FrostMUD.Com is NOT responsible for backing up your data. Backups are done as a courtesy on the first day of every
month. As a user on this server, you agree to the following: If you lose your data due to any means, whether it be your
own or system/hardware failure, you will not seek action of any kind against the administration and owners. You are
responsible for your own backups.
4. You are responsible for your staff ingame and in the shell. If they perform any activity that is considered to be
malicious, harmful, or suspicious then you will be held fully responsible for their actions. This includes the
possibility of being prosecuted and/or deleted from the server in the event that reasonable evidence of such activities
is discovered.
5. Your email services shall not, under any circumstances, be used for mass distribution of advertisements. If you are
found using your email account for these purposes, then your account will be immediately deleted and actions may be
taken against you.
6. Child pornography and/or any form of adult material is NOT allowed to be stored in your account. This will result in
the immediate termination of your account. In the event of child pornography, the authorities will be contacted and your
personal information will be turned over to the police, including your IP addresses and all data in your directory.
7. Harassment of other users is NOT tolerated. Please speak to all users on the server with respect. If a complaint is
filed against you, then an investigation will begin and actions will be taken with the possibility of freezing and/or
deleting your account.
8. You will treat ALL FrostMUD.Com staff with respect. Any form of disrespect against the administration will result in
the freezing of your account and an investigation. This could also result in the termination of your account and
deletion of your data.
10. Storage and/or depiction of copyrighted material is prohibited on the server unless a written copy from the author
stating the allowance of depiction of the material is readily available from the account holder. FrostMUD.Com reserves
the
right to request a notarized copy of the statement in the event that it is discovered you are displaying copyrighted
material or a complaint is recieved. This includes, but is not limited to, images, code and/or codebases, music files,
or any form of clearly copyrighted material. In the event that you violate this policy, and proof of permission
cannot be submitted, your account will be terminated and all data, including the offending content, will be deleted.
11. The FrostMUD.Com Terms of Service are subject to change and/or alteration at any time. You agree to conform to all
policies and changes. If you find you do not wish to follow these Terms of Service, current or future, then please
contact the administration and your account will be removed and your data returned to you. The exception to this policy
is if the content in your directory violates any of the above policies. In which case, your data will be deleted without
the chance of recovery. In the event that your data violates any laws of any sort, in any country, your data will be
handed over to the authorities.
12. You may not, at any time walk up to the admin and throw a frog in his face. If this amphibian creature is used in an
act of assault against the administration then the frog will be confiscated, your flies removed, and may be used against
you as evidence in the court of law.
13. Your account shall not, and will not, in any way be used to perform malicious and/or harmful attacks against any
other server, indivudual, computer or corporation at any time in any way shape or form. This includes, but is not
limited to, DDoS
attacks, spamming, brute force cracking, exploitations of any kind, harassment, sexual and social misconduct, sexual
predating, or any form of anti-diversity acceptance. Failure to abide by this policy will result in the immediate
termination of your account and deletion of your data and may lead to penalties up to prosecution to the fullest extent
of the law via cooperation with local and national authorities.
14. As a user of my service, or as a sub-user of any services on this server, you retain the right to report violations
of any Rules or Terms of Services to me with complete anonymity. You will not be retaliated against in any way for
informing me of misdoings. In the event of investigations or inquiries, your will remain anonymous at all times and your
identify will not be revealed. This is to ensure your safety and well-being during your visit to my services and/or any
services hosted on FrostMUD.Com.
15. The Terms of Service on this server are subject to change at any time. You must agree to any changes in the FAQ,
terms of service and rules. No changes that would negatively impact your time or access to the server will ever be
made.
16. As of August, 2009, you must be logged into your instant messenger, that you registered at signup, at all times
when you are using your shell. This is so I may contact you incase I see anything unusual occuring with your account
or any activities you are performing.
